La lavanda è un arbusto sempreverde noto per i suoi fiori profumati e le foglie sottili e grigio-verdi. È ampiamente coltivata per il suo aroma rilassante e le sue proprietà ornamentali e medicinali. Le foglie di lavanda sono lineari e lanceolate, disposte in modo opposto lungo i rami. I fiori sono riuniti in spighe strette e allungate, che si ergono sopra il fogliame.
