Il *Calistemo, o *Callistemon, è un arbusto sempreverde appartenente alla famiglia delle Myrtaceae, originario dell’Australia. È noto per i suoi fiori distintivi a forma di spazzola per bottiglie, di colore rosso vivo o talvolta bianco o giallo, che sbocciano in primavera e estate. Le foglie sono lanceolate e aromatiche, di colore verde intenso. Il Calistemo è una pianta resistente, che si adatta bene a climi caldi e soleggiati, tollerando anche la siccità. Viene spesso utilizzato nei giardini come pianta ornamentale per il suo aspetto particolare e decorativo.
